A Progressive Health Care Program has been developed for those without insurance. North College and State University has developed a new program through their nursing school to provide health care with the opening of the Appalachian Nurse Practitioner Clinic (ANPC) at North Georgia College and State University.
The federally funded project will provide medical care to an uninsured public throughout a seven county area.
Primary care is provided and covers everything from a sore throat to an ear infection to muscle strain and sprains to your annual physical.
The facility is the result of a recent $1.3 million federal grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration.
The care will be provided by a staff of nurse practitioners and will be overseen by a physician medical director. For information call 706-867-2713.
